Planning parties is something that is in my blood. Some of my most vivid memories from my childhood were parties my family would throw. From my own birthday parties to themed milestone parties for birthdays and anniversaries. It wasn’t until I returned home from college that I realized just how deep the desire to design and plan parties was. The first party I helped plan was prom themed, complete with dance floor, corsages, and a photo backdrop (because prom isn’t complete without some awkward prom poses). It was there that I found how fun backdrops for photo booths were.

Fast forward a few years, when planning my own wedding, my one must have was a photo booth. Seeing those pictures even years later floods my mind with memories of just how amazing that night was. Layer in a few kids, photo booths and backdrops became the standard at each birthday party. Creating these themed backdrops seemed to make everything else come together and, of course, made for GREAT pictures to look back on.

Somewhere, amid years of party planning and hours of crafting and creating, our carefully constructed backdrops became the statement piece of each event. Each year, everyone would look forward to seeing the party’s theme and elaborate backdrop, always wondering how it could possibly top the years before. We would always reminisce about each party and the “photo booth” pictures always took us back to those days. For some reason, those photos have the ability to capture everything about that special time.
